My dream : professional (advocacy) respect as an Officer of the Court
First thanks to interest in my view and my future plan...
I have a common dream as ADVOCATES ARE THE OFFICERS OF THE COURT but where is our office (chamber/seat)?
Officer means an officer who hold any office.
WE WANT OFFICE (CHAMBER/SEAT) ONLY
I am trying since 2007 for 2500 new chambers as our office (chambers/seats) so, communicated with Registrar General as well as President of HCBA but our voice is common voice hence not consider...
Thereafter we filed a Civil Misc Writ (PIL) Petition No. 48228/2013 (Jagriti Singh & 36 others vs High Court & others) with the prayed-
- to construct more than 2500 chambers and space for keeping files, books, laptop; a creaches, auditorium, parking place etc.
ORDER
Chief Justices Court
Case :- PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. – 48228 of 2013
Petitioner :- Jagriti Singh In Person And 36 Others
Respondent :- High Court Allahabad Thru. R.G. And 4 Others
Honble Shiva Kirti Singh, Chief Justice
Honble Vikram Nath, J.
Heard the petitioners in person who are the lawyers practicing in this Court and are anxious to find some sitting place within the High Court premises or nearby so that they may be able to practice with respect and comfort.
The problem has become acute due to dearth of land for further constructions for the High Court or for the Bar Association. Instead of distrusting the Association or its Office Bearers precipitating dispute between Advocates themselves, the petitioners in our view, should approach the State Government to provide land for the Bar Association or other Association of Advocates of this Court. The State Government shall be well advised to look for a solution to the problem indicated above and if possible to locate a suitable land situated near the High Court premises and make it available for the members of the Bar practicing in Allahabad High Court by sale or lease to be executed in favour of the Bar Association/Associations.
For this purpose the petitioners should not approach the State Government as individuals but in collective body preferably though Association/s so that there may not be any technicality in the way of the State Government in allotting the suitable land for constructions of Chambers/Halls for the Advocates practicing in this Court.
As indicated earlier in this order no real relief can be granted to the petitioners and no Hall or chambers can be made available to them at this stage because of the paucity of land within the High Court premises. Hence with the aforesaid observations the writ petition is disposed of.
Before parting with the order we appeal to the petitioners to maintain discipline and help the Association in allotting whatever place is available for the purpose in an orderly and proper manner so that the additional place which has been created recently can be best utilised for those who have been waiting for since long and as and when further accommodation can be made available, the younger members of the Bar could also get opportunity to share such a created/established place.
