Jagriti Singh, Advocate Supreme Court: About Us
I am Adv Jagriti Singh, a practicing advocate at Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. My legal career began in 2005 at Hon'ble Allahabad High Court, after which I joined Hon'ble Supreme Court. I have extensive experience in various areas of law, including criminal, service, educational, corporate, constitutional, and social issues matters. (Certificate)

At the request of my elder sister, Smt. Ekta Kaur, a practicing advocate at Hon'ble Allahabad High Court, I transitioned from a Chartered Accountancy course to legal practice at the Allahabad High Court. Since then, I have continued my legal journey with dedication.

I am the son of the late Sardar Tej Singh and Smt. Sarita Kaur. I strive to live by the principles and values imparted by my parents and often reflect on their guidance as I achieve milestones in my career. I regret that I was unable to secure justice for them.

My commitment to societal issues is reflected in my Public Interest Litigations (PILs), which include:
  • Creating approximately 253,666 posts for primary and assistant teachers and filling vacant positions.
  • Constructing 2,500 chambers for advocates at the Allahabad High Court. more...
  • Implementing the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP).
  • Improving facilities at the Mental Hospital, Varanasi, including the appointment of additional medical professionals.
  • Conducting competitive exams in residential areas.
  • Removing illegal encroachments from public property.
  • Converting a single rail track into a double rail track between Allahabad and Varanasi.
  • Covering open drains to prevent accidents, following the tragic death of a 5-year-old child.

Book written by me
This book explores the pivotal role of advocates in defending rights and offers insights into the legal profession. It is divided into two parts:
Part 1: Describes advocates' rights, duties, responsibilities, misconduct, and their relationship with clients.
Part 2: Discusses remedies available through the Supreme Court for maintaining long-term client relationships.

I am grateful to my elder sister, Smt. Ekta Kaur, for her encouragement and support in transitioning to legal practice. During my early career, I collaborated with Late C.S. Chaturvedy, Adv. Manoj Tiwari, and Adv. Dhananjay Mishra. My interests in corporate law led me to work with Adv. Kushal Kant on DRT and other corporate cases, and Adv. Amit Srivastava on criminal cases. Since 2007, I have pursued an independent advocacy practice.

My journey has included challenges, including realizing discrepancies between theoretical and practical aspects of the legal profession. Despite this, I appreciate the guidance and support of advocates, judges, staff, and clients, which have been instrumental in my growth.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to Adv. Rakesh Pandey and the Hon'ble Mr. Justice Yatindra Singh (now retired) for their support in organizing the IT Conclave. Their cooperation was pivotal in overcoming challenges and achieving success in this initiative.

I am grateful for the trust and support of everyone who has been a part of my journey. Thank you.
